Backend Engineering Intern

Delivered production backend systems with Java, Spring Boot, MyBatis-Plus, MySQL, Redis, and Spring Security across performance management, university-facing, and healthcare projects.

Selected contributions

  • Independently developed approximately 40-50 backend API endpoints across three projects.
  • Owned a company-wide SLA performance module from requirements to production in about two months, including 20+ APIs, database schema and SQL, interceptors, Redis distributed locks, integration, and testing.
  • Implemented backend migration, refactoring, and Spring Security role-based access control for ATEC, a project delivered for The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
  • Completed a hospital department-management backend module and led front-end integration and testing.

Engineering practice

Created AI-assisted development guidelines, prompts, and workflow templates that were adopted by the team. Collaborated within a five-person backend group and provided technical guidance to two external developers when needed.

Research leadership

Project Lead, National Undergraduate Innovation Program

Leading an undergraduate research project on the spatial-scale driving mechanisms of land-use conflict in the Yellow River Basin using multifactor spatial data and wavelet analysis, while preparing the first-author manuscript.

Research responsibilities

Research coordination, problem formulation, analytical planning, interpretation, manuscript development, and integration of work across the project.
