Backend Engineering Intern

Nine months of backend engineering with Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud across healthcare and university-facing delivery projects.

Selected contributions

Developed approximately 40-50 backend API endpoints.
Contributed to an SLA performance module deployed in production.
Supported healthcare and university-facing delivery projects.

Engineering practice

Worked with service-oriented backend development, API design, debugging, and team-based delivery workflows. The experience strengthened my focus on system boundaries and operational clarity - concerns that now shape my research systems.

Project Lead, National Undergraduate Innovation Program

Leading an undergraduate research project on the spatial-scale driving mechanisms of land-use conflict in the Yellow River Basin and preparing the first-author manuscript.

Research responsibilities

Research coordination, problem formulation, analytical planning, interpretation, manuscript development, and integration of work across the project.
